Edesma tou Paradeisou (Dishes Made in Paradise), ῾Το Έδεσμα του Παραδείσου᾽, tavern is a traditional family tavern in the heart of Larnaca. The tavern stays at your service every day of the week for both lunch and dinner, and also has a take away and delivery service (for the City Centre, Livadia, Aradippou, Vergina and Kamares area).
Edesma tou Paradeisou offers the best sample of Cypriot cuisine with a touch of Greek aroma with dishes somewhat made in 'Paradise', as its name suggests.
The menu is comprised by a variety of dishes prepared lovingly and with care, and portions are very generous in order to satisfy even the most demanding customer. The tavern is famed for its extra special “sheftalies” (local spiced sausages) and its spiced burgers, but one can also choose to try the tavern’s traditional Cypriot kebabs or any of its assortment of grilled meat. However, if you are a fan of home-made food and you want to taste Cypriot food at its core, Edesma tou Paradeisou is your place to be since it also offers a variety of home-cooked day specials, along with home-cooked seasonal delicacies prepared in the most authentic Cypriot way possible. To add to this if you are somewhat lucky you can also get the chance to taste Mr Lambros’ —the owner’s— signature dish, the very famous and very Cypriot charcoal roasted “souvla”. Finally, if you are either a vegetarian or a pescaterian, there is no reason to be disappointed since “Edesma” offers exclusive vegetarian dishes made with locally grown vegetables and fish/shell-fish dishes made with freshly caught fish.
Last but not least “Edesma tou Paradeisou” has to offer something different in the busy centre of the city; its beautiful back garden is a place that most customers come back to many times for a chance to cozy up and relax in the city centre. The yard with its beautiful, colourful, vintage decorations looks like something taken out of a movie and travels you back in a different era where people were more relaxed and enjoyed the little things in life like the warmth of good food, the joy of good company and a nice, relaxing environment. If you choose to visit the extraordinary back yard of Edesma tou Paradeisou to enjoy your lunch or dinner, we vouch you will not regret it and you will definitely want to go back.
